It’s just one of the types of plant diseases that are on the radar of those trying to protect the biosecurity of these islands .
Ash dieback which has already arrived and xylella fastidosa which caused the devastation in Italian olive groves, are also on the radar.
The latter bacteria has thankfully not arrived as yet.
