EV SALES

Sales of EVs in the UK have now reached a record high. Sales of electric vehicles accounted for 30 percent of new car registrations last month.

In Ireland the take-up has been rising too it seems. For the first six months of the year EV sales increased by 49 percent.

EVs now command 24.1percent of the market for new cars - compared to 17 percent for the same period in 2025.

One suspects that the US attacking Iran and subsequent oil shock has turbocharged the electric car market.

Unintended consequences right there.
