In the June 1986 edition there were reports from Holland by Mairead Duffin on attending an annual mushroom growing course in Horst and a report by Colum MacCartan on the mushroom days at Grubbenvost.
Both reports were marvelling at the expertise and high standards being set by the Dutch, and looking at how systems there would translate to the Irish industry at the time.
Green Mould was examined by David Seaby - known as the Green Menace (not Mr Seaby) as it was causing some considerable crop issues at the time.
