The value of sterling against other currencies has been slightly on the rise in the past month. Sterling is now trading at €1.18.
Reasons for currency shifts can be multiple. The incoming new Prime Minister in the UK and attendant new Chancellor of the Exchequer could be two factors.
A bump in economic growth in May from zero growth to 0.1% is surely another factor.
The trend and momentum is certainly toward a strengthening of sterling - watch this space as they say.
