The month's highest temperature at a synoptic station was reported at Shannon Airport, Co Clare on Tuesday 26th with a temperature of 30.6 °C. Temperatures were above average everywhere, with record high May maximum air temperatures at 18 stations.
June has fairly made up for the late high temps at the end of May!
