Stalker has often joked and mused about the rise of the robots and the coming of Artificial General Intelligence, the stuff of science fiction for sure.
But as we head down the road of tech companies pushing AI as hard and as fast as they can, it would seem like the approach of AGI is coming faster than many thought.
Those in the know say that AI abilities are doubling every 190 days or so.
The graph for this increase is exponential. Some AI watchers have modified their best guesses (previously decades away) for when we will reach the level of AGI - 2027 is now being mooted!
Maybe we are all just one big hallucination in the ‘mind’ of the ultimate machine?
