Armagh Observatory reported that the month of April was warmer, sunnier and drier than the average. Nine of the last ten Aprils have now been warmer than average.
The warmest day was 21.2C on the 25th of April. There were some cool days with lows of 9.1C following the Storm Dave which delivered the highest rainfall of the month.
As we approach the end of May - “N’er cast a clout til May is out” has never been more relevant - even as we are expecting some higher temps, or even a heatwave.
