The World Meteorological Organization’s State of the Global Climate report 2025 confirms that the 11 years from 2015 - 2025 were the hottest on record; and 2025 was the second or third hottest year on record.
The report also said that greenhouse gases continued to accumulate at a faster rate. This year we are told to expect the effect of El Nino again, which can push temperatures higher than this past year. It's even been mooted that it will be a super El Nino event this year.
With all that is going on in the world, one wonders if global climate change will remain a focus for policymakers?
