STERLING RESULT

The continuing small ups and downs on the currency markets for sterling seem not to be running out of steam.

The currency picked up again by 1 cent from a low of €1.13 earlier in the month.

Sterling has edged up to €1.15 by Christmas Eve on the FX markets.
