Looks like 2025 will be the second hottest year on record according to the latest data from the European Copernicus Climate Change Service.
After last year being the hottest on record, it does seem like we have entered a new phase of the climate change progression that characterises the anthropocene age.
Last month was the third warmest November on record at 1.54C above pre-industrial levels, according to Copernicus, with the average surface air temperature reaching 14.02C.
As Storm Bram was hitting Stalker noted the mercury reading 15C in mid December - that has to be quite rare too.
