In November 1985 a large group of NI Mushroom Growers and Department of Agriculture officials were pictured on a visit to Gateshead the previous month.
Peat was the favoured material for growing mushrooms back then - still is now, although things are changing.
There was a meeting of contract mushroom growers at the Chestnut Lodge in Benburb, which sadly no longer exists - long gone it is too.
A Darmycel teach-in was reported on from Drumsill House Hotel (another venue that has disappeared), there were photos to boot.
And there were mushroom recipes from Antonio Carlucci - a recipe for success for sure.
