Stalker was very interested to hear that the first commercially grown truffles in the UK have been harvested on the isle of Bute in Scotland.
The Scottish grown truffles look the business and according to reports are very much in demand.
The achievement is one based on the changing climate in the region, with wetter warmer weather creating the conditions to allow for the truffles to grow.
The success comes after years of research by Professor Paul Thomas and his team of experts from the University of Stirling. Well done to them!
