Interesting to note that the Fresh Mushrooms Fair Trade Coalition, representing leading U.S. growers and packers of fresh Agaricus mushrooms has filed a petition in the US on anti-dumping legislation.
The petition seeks relief from unfairly traded imports of fresh mushrooms from Canada that are causing material injury to the domestic industry, according to the coalition.
It’ll be interesting to see how this all pans out - backdropped as it is by global tariff and trade disputes.
There is currently a lot of upending of trading norms going on, that’s for sure.
