The Genius of Trees by Harriet Rix is Stalker’s eclectic book pick of the month.
Stalker loves books about trees and how they are vital to the world around us. And of course fungi always get a look in too.
The book is reviewed elsewhere in these pages this line gives you a flavour: “Oak die-back happens, in Rix’s eyes, when the trees’ “farthest fungi” have “lost their love of adventure, their passion for the quest”.
Something to read in the longer autumnal evenings perhaps.
