A Dutch company that developed an innovative mushroom coffin that fully decomposes in the soil within 45 days has been doing well. Since its creation five years ago, around 2,500 people in Europe have been buried in these coffins, and this month marked the first funeral using one in the USA. The coffins may well biome the final resting place for many eco-conscious customers in the future. There could definitely be scope for some entrepreneurial Irish mushroom maven to make a killing (forgive the pun) in this burgeoning market.
