Looking back at June 1995 JFM were proffering a snazzy Picker Pak - with a picker knife, hand towel, hat with snood and a tabard. Good to go.

There was guidance from the EEC on mushroom picking which all still reads pretty relevant today.

And there was news of a robot being developed by Silsoe research for picking mushrooms.

Described as a simple Cartesian robot with vision guidance and a suction cup end-effector run by a personal computer expert system.

That was maybe the start of it right there?
