DRIEST SPRING

It has officially been declared the driest spring in the UK since records began. That’s no mean feat.

In Ireland too it has been noticeable that we have been lacking the usual rain that we’d expect this time of year.

Were there any April showers at all? Perhaps one lot.

May has come in hot and dry and hydrologically deficient too.

There are already hosepipe bans in place throughout the nation.

If we get a dry summer too, watering will be a crux issue throughout the UK and Ireland this year.
