With an Australian company attempting to be the first to grow a crop of mushrooms in space, aboard SpaceX’s Fram2 mission launched in early April - the future of the mushroom growing industry took a leap into the unknown.
Stalker is aware that NASA has been interested in the cultivation of mushrooms and mycelium blocks, for food and for habitation on the moon, but with this new private venture it would seem that mushrooms are truly going off-world.
It will be interesting to see how the FOODiQ Global experiment goes. Watch this space, as they say, now punningly.
