Paul Stamets has a new book out called Psilocybin Mushrooms in Their Natural Habitats. Sometimes referred to as the Einstein of the mushroom world, the new book has been garnering some high praise.
Note this encomium from Andrew Weil MD - he of the mushroom beauty product line: "Visually stunning and nourishing to your mind, Psilocybin Mushrooms in Their Natural Habitats is essential reading for all those interested in psilocybin mushrooms, from mycologists to therapists to physicians. I highly recommend this epic book!"
As the author himself comments on the books subject matter: “The rich diversity of psilocybin species, hidden amongst thousands of other mushroom species, makes many of them difficult to find and identify. I hope this book demystifies many of these challenges. Moreover, psilocybin mushrooms, I believe – and many before me–connect us with not only the Earth, its citizens, but to the molecular Universe that ultimately assembled to give us birth.”
That last bit surely is the quote of the month, if not a contender for quote of the year!
