The interesting case of the forager who had their collar felt by the long arm of the law piqued Stalker’s interest at the end of last month.

The lady in question was out scouting for magpie inkcaps, a rare variety in Bradgate Park, in Leicestershire.

The ins and outs of the story are explicated elsewhere on these pages, but what stood out to Stalker was the name of the forager - Mrs Louise Gather.

Hardly has there been a more apt name for a mushroom forager in the years that Stalker has been patrolling this beat.
